UPDATE (4/4/16): Thrivent members can now direct their Thrivent Choice Dollars to Standing Cedars

Cash donations are used to preserve, protect and restore land, and to maintain the trails and parking lots.

Working to ensure permanent land protection and provide for the stewardship of the land takes careful planning and partnership with private and public partners. Whether you are looking to make a contribution now, or are planning for a future gift, Standing Cedars has a vehicle to help you leave your Forever Legacy.

Gifts of Real Estate - Standing Cedars accepts gifts of land and property. When appropriate, gifts of real estate will be retained and managed as to preserve the natural habitats. Gifts of real estate without significant ecological value may be liquidated and the proceeds of the sale applied to various uses.  The donor may specify where the proceeds of the sale from donated real estate are used.

Stewardship Endowment Fund – The St. Croix Valley Community Foundation manages the Stewardship Endowment Fund.  A portion of the earnings each year are utilized to provide funding for management and other long-term expenses.  Your donation to the Fund will ensure the Trust's long-term viability.

Land Protection Opportunity Fund - The St. Croix Valley Community Foundation also manages the newly created Opportunity fund.  Your donation to this fund will provide the resources for future land protection efforts such as the purchase of land or conservation easements.

Planned giving - A variety of options are available to donors planning for a future gift to Standing Cedars.

Tax Benefits - Donations of cash, real estate, or conservation easements to Standing Cedars may result in significant tax benefits to the donor. Consult your tax advisor for specific information as it relates to you.
